MPC stopped manufacturing their kits since many years ago, but now we can enjoy them again since that brand which was eventually absorbed by Ertl, today has been resurrected by Round 2 models that have been releasing during the last years several of those classics that used to be on hobby shops shelves in the 70’s and 80’s.
In the boxart re-release, you can appreciate that the only difference with the model built here, is about the wheels design and decals. The rest of the kit is absolutely identical.
The item this article is about, has been bought on Ebay in the condition shown in the pictures.
Construction
The body
I started assembling the body. First, I cleaned up all the parts removing flashes, mold marks…etc and re- scribed the panel lines.
Using a pencil, and to match the real thing, I marked a line to create a separation between the windshield frame and fender.
