The DV ( Direct Vision) was always one of my favourite tanks but up to the Dragon release, the only options to build it were the conversion from Formations or the old one from Verlinden. As I don’t like to work with resin, I waited in the hope of getting a plastic injection kit. Fortunately, today is possible to assert that Tasca and Dragon offer nearly all the versions of the Sherman (with guns) that saw service during World War II.
This kit offers the chance of building a British Sherman Mk.III in North of Africa.
This article aims at sharing with the reader my experience in the construction of this beautiful model with some improvements. |

Building
Step 1
Construction starts as indicated in the instructions with the running gear. When assembling the bogies, I realized that in spite of all my effort joining the parts D5 and D4 the joint line was very visible. To avoid using putty, you should try the correct fit of these parts and the gaps between them should be the less possible. I joint them with abundant glue and used X-acto tweezers to hold them until the glue cured. |

It’s necessary to use a scriber to mark the lines on parts E4 and E5. In this way you get the three parts that comprise the front area of the hull.
