Tamiya have been offering high quality motorcycles kits very detailed and good presentation. If you add to this the modern detail sets, the result will be a superb museum piece that will look striking in any showcase, this is the case of the of the Yamaha YZR M-1 (#14104) to which I added several aftermarket. The aim of this article is to share with readers my experience in the construction of this model with these extra sets, so here I will basically refer to their use.
Details, more... and more
The main aftermarket is the Top Studio set MD29001, excellent quality and level of detail. It comprises about 25 resin parts (except for the electric connectors), an etched fret and several white metal parts.

Construction
I started following the Tamiya instructions by assembling the engine as indicated in Step 1. Once the model was assembled, I sprayed a primer coat of Mr. Surfacer 1200. When it was completely dry, I painted according to instructions but using Gunze Sangyo Super Metallic (fine pigment), and once dry could be masked without problems.
