The Peugeot 307 is one of the Tamiya last releases of rally cars. It includes a diecast lower chassis that makes the product more expensive and at first this seems to offer no advantage, however, once the model is finished, we realize the importance of this diecast chassis that not only gives the model the necessary weight but also realism. So no extra weight will be needed.
As for the rest, the kit is a typical Tamiya class, parts offer no problems except for the chassis that has to be attached by tapping screws compelling us to screw the bolt to the part previously, to avoid later problems. In my opinion, it would have been better using a metric thread like the ones used to attach the front and rear axles to the chassis.
You may decide to use the photo etched parts high quality set from Tamiya which assembly is mentioned in the kit instructions. |
