Tiger model IDF Nagmachon early 1/35 scale
By Michael Mass
The "Nagmachon" is one of the most unique armored vehicle variants. This vehicle is based on the chassis of a Sho't Kal Alef tank from which the turret has been removed. The vehicle was adapted for security missions in the regions of Lebanon and Gaza.
Since the days of presence in Lebanon at the end of the 90s, there have already been "Nagmachons" that represented an improved and more armored model than the "Nagmashot". The numerous configurations included the original "Nagmachon", the "Nagmachon" with side protection on the roof of the structure, "Nagmachons" with "kennels" (small and large), and the "Nagmachon" with a kennel and ladder protection.
The unpainted model is an old work by Beni Gilad, who "donated" it to my collection. It will be painted and completed soon. The model was added with a scratch basket above the engine compartment cover and a Sho't Kal adapter for connecting to the "Nokhri" kit.
The painted model is the excellent product of the company Tiger Models, built straight from the box, including photo-etch and single-link tracks (whose ends were cut like in reality).
I chose to use greenish windows and periscopes (not blue as is mistakenly done). The painting was quite basic with the 3G colors from the AK interactive.
For the ebook (the photos are darker compared to the actual model), I used deposit (wet pigment) from the AK interactive and the excellent pigment from Pinnacle in sand tone.
Order of operations:
1. Dark gray primer from Vallejo.
2. Painting in IDF dust tone.
3. Dark oil filter with white spirit.
4. Spot wash with diluted oil.
5. Satin varnish from the RC series.
6. Gloss varnish at the decal location, also from the RC series.
7. Sealing the decals with gloss varnish.
