The kit It’s the McLaren MP4/6 Honda ‘Japan Grand Prix 1991’ from Fujimi #090443 in 1/20 scale, and the Hobby Design PE set #HD02-0100
Construction I gathered all the parts that comprise the engine and the photoetched (PE) fret, replacing the ones supplied with the kit when I considered it was worth doing it.
It’s important to sand the PE parts on the surfaces that will be glued to provide better adherence of CA.
When reaching step 4, I had problems with part F45 which has to be introduced in the engine block (part E1) as indicated in the instructions. This was solved by enlarging a bit the room where the parts have to be introduced with the help of a flat file. In the following images, you may appreciate the parts I’m speaking about and where it’s necessary to file.
