Vietnam war is one of my favorite scenarios, this is why in my boxes stock there was a LVTP 5 from AFV Club. It’s a model of considerable size for the scale and with flat shapes, it looks more like a shoebox than a military vehicle. In order to make it look attractive, I decided to make a laborious job of interior detailing.

Fortunately, Hobby Fan offer an interior set (without engine) to improve this model which saved me a lot of problems. The size of the model makes that at times the assembly tasks are a bit difficult. After studying the instructions carefully, I started with the construction.

Construction

Step 1

Nothing had been glued yet, and difficulties had appeared! The drive sprockets (G6, G7) have several protruding where the links lay on, they are well represented on the right but not on the left. This was fixed by cutting these protruding tips one by one placing them in the right place.
