Read More here > Legal notice The Surtees TS16 kept the TS14 pattern, and through two seasons the main changes were done in the positions of the radiator. Aerodynamically, it was a good straight-line car, although Surtees didn't have the best DFVs to take advantage from this, and it was another overweight car. All of the contracted sponsorship monies for 1974 failed to materialize, and in 1974 the Team was reduced to running a single car (1974 had ended disastrously, too, when Helmut Koinigg was killed in a practice crash, driving the TS16 in Watkins Glen). Pace placed a TS16 in the points once in 1974, then left the team in mid-season; in 1975 John Watson finished well in three non-Championship F1 races but failed to score in the Championship.
Drivers Derek Bell, Jose Dolhem, Jean-Pierre Jabouille, Leo Kinnunen, Helmut Koinigg, Jochen Mass, Carlos Pace, Dieter Quester and John Watson.
