I'm showing several photos of the Mig-29A Fulcrum which is currently being used by the German Air Force. Originally, this type of plane was used by the East German Air Force and is popular with European eastern countries that were previously under the influence of the Soviet Union before the break-up.
Undoubtedly, the Mig-29 is a versatile plane and has very clean lines. The photos I am including here were taken from this year's Malta Airshow (Sep 2002) and this particular Fulcrum was accompanied by the German demonstrator in black, red and yellow colour.
In the modelling arena the Fulcrum has been well represented in the plastic industry in many scale versions. In particularly, I very much like the 1/32nd scale kit version of this plane.
Since I am also an radio control enthusiast I cannot but favorably comment on the performance of this plane which has been successfully flown with two micro turbines. Such design has also proved to be successful also in smaller scales.
I am enclosing these photos for the benefit of all scale modelers who, like me, appreciate the design and elegance of the Fulcrum.
