This gull wing plane, the Piaggio is of Italian make and the one shown here is owned by the Italian Guardia di Finanza...that is the Coastal Command Unit that controls illegal trafficking. Italy of course has a very long coastline and these airplanes are handy to control the whole coastal area.
The plane took part in our last Malta Airshow on the last weekend of September 2001.
